Terms of use
1. These terms
These terms govern the use of Advanced Reporting by SafeScore (the "service"), a financial and management reporting service operated by Mart Consulting Company ("Mart Consulting", "we"). They apply to every person who signs in to the service (a "user") on behalf of a company that has an agreement with Mart Consulting (the "client"). Where the client's agreement with Mart Consulting says otherwise, that agreement prevails.
2. The service
The service reads the client's data from the systems the client connects or provides, such as QuickBooks Online and other accounting systems, transportation management systems and documents users upload. It turns that data into reports: financial statements, trial balances, equipment costs and revenue, cash flow forecasts, other management reports and related views.
3. Your license
Mart Consulting grants the client's users a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for the client's internal business while the client's agreement is in force. Users may not copy, resell or sublicense the service, reverse engineer it, use it to build a competing service, or let anyone else use their sign-in.
4. Connecting QuickBooks
An administrator of each QuickBooks company decides whether to connect it. Once connected, the service reads that company's accounting data through Intuit's API. Intuit's permission for apps covers both reading and writing; the service only reads, and never creates, changes or deletes anything in QuickBooks. An administrator can disconnect a company at any time from QuickBooks' list of connected apps, and in the service while the client's users have access to it. The service then stops reading that company. Disconnecting in the service deletes the company's access key at once; a key removed in QuickBooks stops working, and the service deletes it the next time it tries to read.
5. The client's data
The client's data remains the client's. The client gives Mart Consulting the right to store and process it only to provide the service, to support the client, and to keep the service secure, as the privacy policy describes. Mart Consulting does not sell it.
6. Users' responsibilities
Users keep their sign-in details to themselves, use the service lawfully, and connect or upload only data they are allowed to. The client's administrators decide who has access and what each user may do.
7. Accuracy
Reports are built from the data in the client's systems and from the rules the client sets, and their accuracy depends on that data. The service supports the client's own accounting, tax and legal advice; it does not replace it.
8. Availability and changes
Mart Consulting works to keep the service available and may change or improve it. Maintenance that affects use is announced to the client beforehand when it can be planned.
9. Disclaimer
Except as the client's agreement provides, the service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Mart Consulting is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Its total liability is limited to the fees the client paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Ending
Access ends with the client's agreement, or earlier if these terms are seriously breached. When it ends, Mart Consulting disconnects the client's QuickBooks companies, and the client's data is handled as the privacy policy describes.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
13. Changes to these terms
Mart Consulting may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it.
